Chairman Clay (he/him)

Chairman clay is a baltimore native with a long history of safe shooting, activism and business in the city. Clays grandfather taught him how to shoot very early on, around age 8. Growing up in the baltimore art, activist and punk scenes, clays perspective and world view changed drastically to understand the depravity of capitalism, the neglect it has for the majority of working class people, and the ultra violence it uses in order to maintain its stranglehold on labor and culture. THANKS TO A NOW PASSED COMRADE, Dark-star, clays activism led straight to education. At 14, the chairman was helping organize a political literature Distro containing thousands of titles. operating around Baltimore and Towson in the early 2000's, Pitch Black Press had handy guides on D.I.Y, protesting and activism, informational Manuals, union organizing material, housing security information, animal rights, anti-war material, gardening and more. Of course, reading these texts was part of the process and learning about society and history was key to the chairmans formative years. Clay Participated in some capacity with every social movement since then. experiencing the hoops of living in a capitalist society such as homelessness, addiction, classism, discrimination and other forms of imperial conditioning, clay chose to develop his art as a means of sustenance. After traveling the tri-state area working, clay moved back to baltimore, becoming a top rated tattoo artist and opening a SUCCESSFUL studio in the heart of downtown baltimore.

The chairmans journey towards firearms education was furthered again by the general uptick in progressive and openly leftist leaning organizing in the community and self defense areas. Clay became certified as a Maryland Qualified Handgun Instructor in 2022 after decades of safe shooting. the chairmans goal is to offer education, training and certification to those who would normally be excluded or off-put by the U.S' current gun culture. Giving working class people the knowledge, means and ability to defend themselves and their community from the myriad of threats THAT LURK OVER THEM and their communities, our society. These threats have become criticAL since the increase in corporate Neo-fascism. THIS TYPE OF EDUCATION is not only important, but absolutely necessary in order to create AND maintain a society that values FAIRNESS, equity and inclusion. A SOCIETY THAT VALUES WORKING PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES SAFETY, more than PROFIT AND STATUS.

"working class and poor people have no choice but to arm themselves. Not to intimidate, attack, oppress or do harm, but rather in the interest of defending those that may be harmed, themselves and their communities. DEFENSE from the overt threats apparent in our modern society, THAT WOULD SUBJECT US TO SERVITUDE AND SQUALOR WHILE BASKING IN LUXURY THEMSELVES. When the time comes that humanity SHOULD no longer need armAMENT to ensure LIFE AND livelihood, we should all bury our guns in the ground AND MOVE FORWARD TOGETHER. Until that day, Under no pretext should the workers surrender arms or ammunition."
